The Somerset Stairlifts & Mobility – Power Stroll – Wheelchair Motor

The Somerset Stairlifts & Mobility Powerstroll lightweight wheelchair powerpack is designed to take the hard work out of pushing a manual wheelchair.  The Powerstoll unit fits to a wide range of folding wheelchairs and quickly converts them into a carer-operated powerchair.  Fitted in seconds and easily removable, the powerstroll is highly transportable and together with your manual wheelchair fit readily in to the car boot.  The Powerstroll has a maximum range of ten miles and travels at speeds of up to 3mph.

The Powerstroll is designed to fit most manual wheelchairs via a telescopic bar mounted on a pair of brackets which are fastened to the wheelchair. The brackets (which are supplied as standard) fit to wheelchair tubing with a daimeter of  22 to 25mm. The standard crossbar fits wheelchairs with a width of betwen 350 and 510mm between the chasis tubing. An extension bar is available to order as an accessory to fit chairs up to 600mm

If your wheelchair has higher than normal lower horizontal bars where you would attach the telescopic bar, you will need to order the optional height adjustable brackets that allow you to mount the bar either at the standard height or at a new height 5cm lower. This will put the powerpack on a more horizontal plane when mounted to higher frame chairs.  Please refer to the images to see the alternative mount brackets and telesopic bars. If in doubt please contact us and speak to one of our product experts – we are happy to help!
